Point Blank Shot Vs Keen Arrow Vs Disrupting Shot - Guild Wars Forums

Which do you think is the better choice on an interrupt hero ranger?

PBS - [skill]point blank shot[/skill]

KA - [skill]keen arrow[/skill]

DS - [wiki]Disrupting Shot[/wiki]

I'll be using 1 of the above in the following build:

[skill]broad head arrow[/skill][skill]epidemic[/skill][wiki]Volley[/wiki][skill]distracting shot[/skill][skill]savage shot[/skill][wiki]Poison Tip Signet[/wiki][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

As you can see I need 1 more skill & it will probably be between the 3 shown above.

Although on wiki it says " Notes: Heroes do not use this skill effectively" about DS, so I'm weary about using it.

I'd say Keen Arrow. The extra range and lower energy cost would, in my opinion, be more beneficial to an interrupt ranger unless you'll be getting very close to the enemy to reduce arrow flight time to better your interrupting. Of course, PBS is more damaging (when KA doesn't crit) and has half the cool time, but you most likely wouldn't be able to spam it much in-between interrupts and due to the higher energy cost. (But, of course, Expertise ftw?

you prolly dont need any more interupts, try out sloth hunters

I was using Sloth Hunter's but at 10 energy, my ranger was running dry even at 12 expertise & he kept spamming it, thus losing more energy.

Oh and I should point out this is for a hero ranger, not a human player.

Volley was suggested to me in this build because BHA dazes the target, epidemic spreads daze & then volley is used for mass interrupts.

Although, just wondering, why do you suggest different?

I've liked pbs for a while. At 13 expertise it is +36 damage on a 3 second cooldown and only costs 2e. Not a bad skill. And half range isn't the end of the world.

Especially since it brings your hero closer so BHA has a greater chance of hitting.

I know it's not one of your suggestions but I would say Throw Dirt. He will blind any melee that are harassing your backline. You don't really have enough energy for another spammable skill.
